What are electronic cigarettes?
Electronic cigarettes are products designed to deliver nicotine or other substances to a user in the form of a vapor. Typically, they are composed of a rechargeable, battery-operated heating element, a replaceable cartridge that may contain nicotine or other chemicals, and an atomizer that, when heated, converts the contents of the cartridge into a vapor. This vapor can then be inhaled by the user. These products are often made to look like such products as cigarettes, cigars, and pipes. They are also sometimes made to look like everyday items such as pens and USB memory sticks, for people who wish to use the product without others noticing. The basic e-cigarette you see in convenience stores and tobacconist’s, delivers inhalable doses of flavoured nicotine by heating up e-liquid. Unlike tobacco cigarettes, vaporizers and e-cigarettes emit no smoke, no odour, and no tar.
Is e-smoking cheaper than regular smoking?
The upfront costs of e-smoking are higher than regular smoking. In addition to the electronic device itself, there are several other parts you need if you want to build-up your e-smoking stash from scratch. These expenses include: extra e-liquid, charging plugs, backup batteries, and any accessories you may want. In the long run, however, many e-smokers end up saving money. Batteries that are properly cared for can have a lifespan of several months, which helps users get the most for their money spent, and by following some simple money-saving tips, you can increase your battery life even more. Money-Saving Tips to Increase your E-Cig’s Battery Life When you’re enjoying the smokeless nicotine the e-cigarette, you don’t think much about battery life. Our e-cig batteries are made of lithium-ion polymer, which last much longer than their disposable predecessors, and they’re rechargeable. Nonetheless, they eventually wear out and require replacement. Whether you are using a manual or automatic model e deivce, proper battery care will extend its charge capacity, and save you some cash. These tips will extend your battery life and give you are more satisfying vaping experience: It is often recommended that the batteries be charged for a full before the first use. The suggestion mainly applies to older nickel-based batteries which do require a full 8-hour charge before use, but lithium batteries get no benefit from charging this length of time – all you need to do is make sure the battery is fully charged before using. Once you’re finished charging your battery, unplug the charger from your electrical outlet – you’ll save a little on your electricity bill. There is no easy answer for how long a single charge on any battery will last. The battery’s age, how strongly you inhale, the surrounding temperature, and more factors determine the single charge capacity. Use Your E-cig Battery Regularly Lithium-ion batteries are used because they are powerful, designed to be used daily, and are rechargeable. The more a lithium-ion battery performs, the easier power flows through its cells. Always use a fully charged battery. If the battery is not fully charged it must work harder to deliver the power needed for vaping. The harder it has to work, the quicker it dies. Storage of Your E-cig Battery Heat and direct sunlight can significantly affect the lithium-ion battery lifespan. Electricity and water don’t mix, so keep your e-cigarette and its battery away from humidity. Keep your spare batteries stored in a cool, dry place. It’s best to store batteries with a full charge. If you store them with 50-percent or less charge, they will drain faster. If you won’t be using your e-cig for an extended period of time, detach the cartomizer. The cartomizer contains the heating element and nicotine e-liquid. When it’s connected to the battery, it’s draining a little bit of charge. By disconnecting the cartomizer and battery you extend the time between charges, the number of recharges you can do, and the battery replacement time. Change Your E-Cigarette Battery Before Its Dead Recharge your battery when you begin to notice a loss in power. It’s much easier to recharge a battery with some juice left in it rather than trying to charge one that’s completely drained. Experienced vapers keep a rotation of batteries on hand for continuous vapor smoking. Don’t Overfill with E-Liquid A common mistake is overfilling the tanks with too much e-liquid. Battery terminals are open and exposed on some models when you refill the tank. If the e-liquid leaks onto the battery, it could block the electrical circuit, damaging the battery and rendering your e-Device useless. Pour your e-liquid slowly at a 45 degree angle. Stop once you reach the top. We recommend that you stock up on batteries and keep fully-charged ones on hand to enjoy uninterrupted vaping.
Does using an e Device feel the same as smoking cigarettes?
Yes and no. While using an e Device is essentially the same idea—you inhale the nicotine through your mouth—there are also some key differences in how you use it. For one, puffing on an e-Device is much different than taking a drag on a cigarette. Electronic Cigarette: Correct Techniques for Inhaling and Puffing Advice from the professionals on how to get the best vaping experience and what beginner’s mistakes to avoid. One of the things that often surprise many people when they try electronic cigarettes for the first time is the difference in how you are supposed to inhale. The most basic or intro electronic cigarettes are made to look and feel like traditional smoking in almost every way, from the LED tip that can be mistaken for a burning stub to the tobacco taste and even similar weight. Even advanced electronic cigarettes like the kind we make here at Vapor SA, which look much different than traditional cigarettes and the intro electronic models, are specifically designed with smokers in mind in order to provide a smoking experience that goes above and beyond what your usual smokes can offer. So perhaps it’s not surprising that many first-time e-smokers try to approach electronic cigarettes the same way they would a traditional cigarette. However, the technique for puffing on an electronic cigarette is much different than smoking a tobacco cigarette. It can be frustrating picking up a new habit when you are so used to doing something a certain way, but we promise that once you learn how to inhale an electronic cigarette properly you’ll be e-smoking like a pro in no time! The Do Nots; Sometimes knowing what NOT to do is just as helpful as knowing what you should do. For instance, when using an electronic cigarette, you should avoid taking quick, short drags like you would a traditional cigarette. Electronic cigarettes aren’t designed to be smoked in this way, so if you use this technique, you won’t get the desired experience. Also, you might end up with a mouthful of e-liquid, which is not pleasant at all. Another tip for e-smokers is to steer clear of chain smoking—or chain vaping. After 3-7 draws from your electronic cigarette, take a break and come back later. Allow at least a couple minutes in between “sessions” for cooling. Prolonged, repetitive e-smoking without allowing some time to recoup can lead to sore throat, irritation or taste bud burnout, also known as “vaper’s tongue.” Proper Steps to Vaping So now that you know what NOT to do, you’re probably asking: What is the correct way to inhale an electronic cigarette? Here are some basic steps to getting you well on your way to e-smoking like a pro: 1.Draw. When you inhale on your electronic cigarette, take a slow and steady draw until vapor fills your mouth. (The process is similar to smoking a cigar.) With e-smoking, you don’t have to draw the vapor directly into your lungs like you would smoke from a traditional cigarette in order to achieve the desired effect. 2.Hold & Exhale. After you draw the vapor into your mouth, hold it there for 3-5 seconds before inhaling it into the lungs or exhaling through your nose or mouth. Nicotine from tobacco cigarettes can only be absorbed through the lungs, but with e-smoking, it can also be absorbed through the mucus membranes in the mouth first, then the lungs and nose. 3.Wait. The “hit” that a smoker waits for is typically felt around 8 seconds after taking a puff on their tobacco cigarette. However, because nicotine absorption in electronic cigarettes occurs through the mucus membranes, it can take up to 30 seconds to feel the effects. At first, this can be a source of frustration for new e-smokers who don’t understand, but it is easy to get accustomed to. Warm-Up Puffs To warm up the atomizer for e-smoking, many people like to do a “warm up puff” first. A warm up puff is a quick inhale to heat up the coil without the intention of pulling anything. This technique isn’t necessary, but it can help get your electronic cigarette primed and ready for use.
Can you e-smoke anywhere?

Manufacturers of e- Devices, often boast that one of the many benefits of e-smoking is having the freedom to use them anywhere since vaporizers don’t emit second-hand smoke and are not included in many smoking bans. While this is mostly true, there are a few places still where e-smoking is not allowed (i.e. on airplanes, some places of work and restaurants, and in a handful of countries).
Also, a quick side note: Just because you can whip out your vaporizer in public doesn’t mean you always should. Certain situations, like in a movie theatre or at your child’s school, are probably not the best place to start carelessly vaping away, since doing so could cause a scene. Use discretion when turning on your vaporizer in public and be conscious of basic e-smoking etiquette.

What is variable voltage/wattage?

Simply put, variable voltage/wattage is an advanced technique that allows users to manually adjust the heat of their atomizer, in a Mod Device. When done right, this process improves the overall quality of the e-smoking experience by bringing out the strengths of certain flavours when vaporized at various temperatures. However, the use of variable voltage/wattage vaporizers requires a thorough knowledge of amps, watts and resistance levels – otherwise you risk accidentally burning out the heating coil or frying the e-liquid. You will definitely want to learn about how variable voltage/wattage works before you attempt it on your own.
